My 30 Day No Alcohol Challenge - Day 4

I must be honest, although I am only on Day 4, I did not expect this challenge to be as easy for me as it has so far. Granted, I still have a long way to go, and I may still “fall off the wagon”.

But, I must also be truthful and confess that, if I had not declared my intention aloud to my colleagues, and committed to recording my journey in this blog, I would probably have fallen on Day 2.

The reasons I have succeeded so far, and which I hope and trust will allow me to continue to succeed, are the steps I put in place to encourage, if not guarantee my success:

  1. Declaring my intention – To quit drinking alcohol for 30 days

  2. Making a committment - Through declaring my intention and recording my journey

  3. Being accountable – Through this blog

  4. Having a clear goal – To lose weight* through cutting down on alcohol for 30 days

  5. Having a deadline – 30 days**

* My weight-loss journey (See My 30 day No Alcohol Challenge - Day 3)

** The 30 days is the deadline for my 30 day no alcohol challenge. My weight-loss journey has a different deadline and will be the subject of a seperate story.

If you would like to share with me or become part of this journey, I look forward to answering your questions and reading your thoughts in the Comments below.
